 ouston (a mix of private wealth\, foundations\, and public funding) has 
 not historically supported equitable outcomes. The arts sector in Housto
 n has grown\, but funding has not kept up with the growth to provide you
 ng artists and cultural workers with the opportunities needed to thrive.
 \n\nBuilding a Culture of Arts Advocacy in Houston is a series of worksh
 ops designed to empower folks like you to use your voices and become act
 ive participants in co-creating an arts-filled city. This program engend
 ers courage\, creativity\, accountability\, and know-how through active 
 participation and group reflection.\n\nLed by Liyen Chong\, a core organ
 izer at Arts Accountability Houston (AAH)\, this workshop draws from the
  successes AAH achieved in building a grassroots-led coalition and advoc
 ating for artists and small to mid-sized arts organizations at the local
  level.\n\nIn Building a Culture of Arts Advocacy in Houston: #1 Findin
 g Your Voice\, participants will develop an advanced understanding of ho
 w creativity and art can flourish\, practice expressing grief or anger i
 n ways that advance their advocacy agenda\, and learn self-care in this
